NPM Construction were contracted by the insurer of Te Tii B3 Trust to carry out emergency make safe, demolition & asbestos removal & clean up to a house that was destroyed by a large fire. The house was covered by a large amount of asbestos cladding, which during the fire, had exploded into small pieces & littered the property. The urgency to make the property safe to the public & neighbours was paramount & NPM Construction had staff their within hours to contain the site & prevent the asbestos from being spread. The structural aspects of the house was also damaged so making sure that the public were safe from any debris or accessing the unsafe structure was a high priority.
Through NPM’s efficient approach at securing the site, all the asbestos was contained and disposed of as per regulatory procedure & the sites unsafe structure was demolished. NPM Construction is now carrying out the rebuild of the house, a process which has seen design, engineering, consent & now construction all carried out by our skilled project supervisors.
